Dr. Fowler received his bachelor's of arts degree in political science from Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He earned his medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Emory University Affiliated Hospitals in Atlanta. Dr. Fowler has practiced medicine for more than 25 years. Prior to joining Piedmont Physicians in Atlantic Station, Dr. Fowler was president of the Paces Ferry Medical Group for 23 years. He also acts as a clinical preceptor for first and second-year medical students at Morehouse Medical School and where he is a clinical assistant professor. He helped to start the first Multicultural National Advisory Board at Glaxo Pharmaceuticals and was named "Physician of the Year" in 2000 and 2001 by two metro Atlanta organizations. Dr. Fowler is board-certified in internal medicine. Dr. Fowler takes a comprehensive approach to medicine and believes in treating the whole person- physically, socially, and emotionally.
